CBN New Grant Application Portal: Apply for CBN N500k Grants for Graduates, Undergraduates – The Central Bank of Nigeria introduces N500 grant for Graduates and undergraduates in Nigeria as a whole for interested and qualified individuals and its soul aim is to drastically reduce the rate of unemployed youth in the country.

The Tertiary Institutions Entrepreneurship Scheme (TIES), in partnership with Nigerian polytechnics and universities, harnesses the potential of graduate entrepreneurs (gradpreneurs) in Nigeria.

The following factors determine your eligibility.

  • First-degree certificate (BSc/HND/ or it is equivalent)
  • Certificate of Participation issued by polytechnics and universities evidencing entrepreneurship training
  • National Youth Service Certificate (NYSC) discharge or
    exemption certificate;
  • Not more than 7 years post-NYSC.

What the CBN is saying / CBN Introduces N500 Grants for Graduates

The program is established to change students and graduates from white-collar office jobs to an entrepreneurial culture conducive to economic development and job creation.

The apex bank had in word that TIES was established in answer to the trend of graduates seeking white-collar jobs and to turn their attention to the creation of jobs.

The CBN said that a million awards will be given to the Five top Nigerian polytechnics and universities with the best entrepreneurial pitches/ideas.

  1. First place – N150m
  2. Second place – N120m
  3. Third place – N100m
  4. Fourth place – N80m
  5. Fifth place – N50m
