MTN manages all scholarship applications on its official website and scholarship platform.

For 2026/2027, candidates should start from:

Main scholarship page:
https://www.mtn.ng/scholarships/

From this page, MTN directs you to the active application form (often hosted on an apps.mtn.ng or similar URL) when the call for applications opens. Always make sure:

The domain is mtn.ng (for example, apps.mtn.ng/scholarships/form).
You are not applying through third‑party or fake websites.

MTN also announces each year’s application on its News/Call for Applications page and social channels, so you can cross‑check dates and the portal link.

Who Can Use the MTN Scholarship Application Portal?

You should only use the portal if you meet the basic MTN Foundation Scholarship criteria:

You are a Nigerian student in a public tertiary institution (federal or state university, polytechnic, or college of education).
You are in the correct level:
- Generally, 300 level (or HND) for Science & Technology Scholarship (STS).
- 200–300 level for Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS).
- Clinical years (e.g., 400 level) for the Medical Scholarship (SMS).
You are studying a STEM course for STS, or any course if you are blind and applying under SBS, or Medicine/medical‑related fields for SMS.
You have at least a Second Class Upper / Upper Credit level CGPA (for STS and SMS) or meet the lower CGPA set for SBS.

The Top 10 UTME Scholarship does not require a portal application; MTN uses JAMB data to contact the top 10 UTME scorers directly.

Quick FAQs About the MTN Scholarship Portal

1. What is the official MTN Foundation Scholarship portal for 2026?
The official entry point is https://www.mtn.ng/scholarships/, which then links to the current year’s online form, often on apps.mtn.ng/scholarships/form.

2. Is the MTN scholarship application free?
Yes. MTN does not charge any application fee. Any person or site asking you to pay to access the portal is likely a scam.

3. How much is the MTN scholarship worth?
The award is about ₦300,000 per year, renewable until graduation if you maintain the required CGPA.

4. Can I apply if I’m in a private university?
For STS, SBS, and SMS, MTN restricts applications to public tertiary institutions. The Top 10 UTME category can cover public or private, but you do not apply manually for that category.
